Mar-Apr 2010 - The Carbon Real-Time system from CarbonetiX monitors the current electricity usage of individual circuits, allowing you to monitor the electricity usage of your lights, power outlets, hot water system, and more.
The Carbon Real-Time system attaches current transformers (CTs) linked to a transmitter onto individual circuits, and is suitable for metering conductors carrying up to 100 amps. The data is sent wirelessly to a receiver and database and communications hub. From there, the data is sent, via wire or WiFi, to your computer network and the Internet. Using the Carbon Real-Time interface, you can view your electricity usage on any Internet-enabled computer or mobile phone.
The Carbon Real-Time interface includes many useful metrics. View current electricity usage within one minute of Real-Time, or view electricity usage by day, week, month or year. View current electricity usage via consumption, cost or CO2 emissions. Understand your greenhouse gas emissions through the use of meaningful statistics (e.g. Black balloons of CO2).
A distinctive characteristic of the Carbon Real-Time system is its comprehensive comparison reports, showing ‘before and after’ metrics. Check your results after efficiency works to see if they’ve been effective.
The Carbon Real-Time system has sufficient flexibility to measure not only electricity usage, but also electricity generation, water consumption, gas consumption and temperature.
Carbon Real-Time can be customised to suit your individual requirements, and gold, silver and bronze packages are available for common configurations. A customised web interface or interactive touch screen for public displays is also available.
