Description
Lead the new Joint Venture Facilities Management Company “OCS IFS” and build up the business nationwide Viet Nam. Business is to provide 'full service' facilities management including “hard services” - mechanical and electrical maintenance and “soft services” including cleaning, pest control, gardening and security. These would typically be done on 1 year management contracts with building owners/stakeholders – such as industries, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, office and apartment buildings etc, targeting international organizations in Viet Nam.
Company is JV between two MNCs. Comin Asia (part of RMA group) in Viet Nam and OCS Group (with regional head quarters in Thailand) – a large international facilities management company. The JV Currently has over 100 “hard services” engineering staff in an established business which transferred from Comin. These people travel extensively for on-site maintenance work, and over 200 recently hired “soft services” staff who are based on clients sites.
Direct reports to this position include 1 operation manager + 1 sales manager in Hanoi (North Vietnam) and 1 Branch Managers in Ho Chi Minh City (South Vietnam) and local administration. This position is based in Hanoi.
Most support services – e.g. IT, Finance, Quality Management are provided by Comin Asia, whereas Capacity Building in soft services and marketing is supported by OCS. The JV has been in operation for less than a year, and in terms of the soft services is “start-up” type role, with huge opportunity for expansion. Priorities include putting in systems and processes to drive customer service, recruit and train staff to deliver quality soft services, Business Development activities to build up the client base,– especially the concept of Total Facilities Management which is new in Viet Nam.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Comment Hands on facilities management professional with 10 years experience who is able to 'sell' and do business development. Must have 'technical' awareness (does not need to be an engineer, but needs to know how to ask the right questions). Ideally has Viet Nam building / facilities management experience.
