Planet Earth Cleaning and Recycling, and Facility Management are delighted to offer 30 people the opportunity to each win a colour-coded Ecobin system for their facility, complete with recycling posters.
Comprising up to four separate, colour-coded bins for paper, mixed recycling, landfill and organic, Ecobin waste stations assist in cutting business waste bills by eliminating landfill. Attractive by design with foolproof colour coding, they prove popular with staff, and quickly overcome recycling reluctance.
It is estimated by the government that as much 85 percent of all office waste going to landfill is recyclable. This is because the majority of office waste is mixed together in general purpose office bins at source. Ecobins solve this problem easily and cheaply. By separating waste at source they put 85 percent landfill reduction within reach of anyone still reliant on outdated waste disposal methods.

Planet Earth Cleaning and Recycling has generously supplied the prize, which comprises a colour-coded Ecobin system, complete with recycling posters, for 30 people. To enter, all you have to do is answer the following question correctly:
How can you reduce waste to landfill by 85 percent?
a) by cutting the number of waste bins in your facility by 85 percent
b) by investing in a colour-coded Ecobin waste station, or
c) by placing 85 percent of your waste in your neighbouring facility’s bins?
Email your response to the editor of Facility Management, Vicky Ellmore, at vicky.ellmore@niche.com.au before the close of business on Friday 14 September 2012. Please write ‘Ecobin competition’ in the subject line. The 30 winners’ names will be drawn from the pool of correct answers and announced on Monday 17 September 2012 in the News section of the website. The winners will also be notified by phone and/or email.

I would like your system were compulsory for shopping centres in Australia. With the amount of waste they produce, it is unacceptable that recycling is not common practice. Sure the population using such facilities will be educated and the public as well.
