26 May 2011 – CleanScene, the National Cleaning and Hygiene Expo, was held at Melbourne Exhibition Centre last month. And once again this annual event contributed greatly to the growth and development of this crucial sector.
The National Cleaning Suppliers Association declared this year’s expo “the best cleaning show ever”, featuring demonstrations of the latest cleaning products and seminars covering topics from carpet longevity to sustainable cleaning.
More than 2800 visitors from the cleaning and hygiene industry attended the expo over three days, as did a large number of visitors from the co-located Safety In Action expo and Melbourne Materials Handling Trade Show.
Exhibitors such as Oates, Edco and Tennant valued the opportunity to connect with customers in person and offer advice and demonstrations on specific problems to end-users.
The NCSA Industry Seminar Series opened with Paper Versus Power, a confrontation of washroom hand drying alternatives, and also included a seminar from Facility Management’s very own John Power.
The countdown to next year’s expo has already begun, to be held in Sydney in October 2012.
