eMaintenance now in Australia & NZ

17 March 2011 – Specialist software products catering to the needs of Facility Management professionals are now indispensable tools in Australasia. eMaintenance is the latest software package to make a splash in this rapidly growing sector.

Techniche Limited (ASX: TCN) recently acquired 100 percent of Urgent Technology Limited (UTL) the architect and developer of the powerful leading-edge eMaintenance software suite.
UTL, based in the UK, USA and India, already has BP as a global client, and Techniche is deploying its international global marketing resources to bring eMaintenance to the wider asset maintenance market, particularly in the retail, petroleum, facilities management and property sectors.
Techniche has established Urgent Technology Australasia Pty Ltd (UTA) to be the exclusive distributor for eMaintenance in Australia and New Zealand. UTA is based in Melbourne with offices in Brisbane and Hobart.
Chris Boys has been appointed CEO of UTA, while Gavin Povey (pictuerd above) will be responsible for business development.
Boys believes there are significant growth opportunities in the marketplace for eMaintenance. “The business case for eMaintenance is compelling as it significantly reduces costs and drives efficiency, transparency and safety compliance throughout organizations,” he says.
The product suite has several modules starting with eMaintenance itself, which automates the end-to-end process of placing, tracking, chasing and reporting on service and maintenance calls. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg; the web-based suite is ‘real time’ and is accessible to sites, management and contractors by web portal, IVR automated phone, fax and text message.

FEATURES:
eMaintenance has rich, robust and proven functionality as well as a host of business efficiency tools, including:

  • all processes, reports and analyses are ‘real time’ and every event is time and date recorded
  • automates 85 percent of call handling and chase calls, in turn yielding major cost reductions
  • monitors and reports against all contractor performance, costs and service level agreements, allowing retailers to achieve real service improvements and reduce overzealous chargeable invoice costs
  • provides comprehensive asset management functionality, with breakdown frequency, cost and reliability data reported against each asset item and by contractor
  • enforces and polices safety compliance by all contractors
  • provides ‘real time’ location plotting of all contractors on site, allowing effective spontaneous audits to be carried out using the clever web-based audit document design capability
  • surveys – pre-populated web forms can be produced, tailored and sent to selected sites and contractors for a variety of information gathering tasks, including easy stocktaking of assets. ‘Complete by’ software monitors the completion dates and alerts where not achieved
  • document control for every site is provided via clever software for licenses, approvals, and test certificates across the whole range of retail requirements. The system provides auto reminders of expiry dates to ensure compliance at all times.

Little Chef, a UK user of eMaintenance, recently commented, “eMaintenance has transformed the service and property maintenance function within our business. We have removed two third party helpdesks, saving huge annual costs, whilst improving the service we can offer to our restaurants. Keeping the UTL brochure in my drawer was one of the smartest things we’ve done.”
