22 December 2010 – Polyflor has become the first commercial flooring organisation in Australia and New Zealand to achieve Ecospecifier’s ‘Green Tag’ LCARate certification, effective December 2010.
This achievement means Polyflor is the only vinyl flooring to achieve maximum rating points in the GBCA (Green Building Council of Australia) and NZGBC (New Zealand Green Building Council) Green Star rating tools.
Polyflor’s homogeneous resilient sheet and safety vinyl flooring ranges have just achieved Ecospecifier’s Gold ‘Green Tag’ LCARate certification.
Importantly for the Flooring Calculator within the materials section of the Green Star rating tools, Polyflor vinyl flooring has also achieved a GreenRate level ‘A’, scoring maximum points when specified.
VOC COMPLIANT
Polyflor’s range of vinyl flooring options also complies with the VOC (volatile organic compound) standards as tested to the GBCA’s current ASTM D5116 test method. In short, this achieves the maximum one point available in the IEQ VOC flooring section of the Green Star rating tools.
The complete Kiesel range of self levelling screeds and antimicrobial adhesives also meets the VOC levels required, complying with the GBCA’s VOC SCAQMD Rule 1168 test method. For Green Star professionals, this achieves an additional point within the IEQ VOC section of Green Star.
Polyflor’s vinyl flooring ranges are 100 percent recyclable, providing the ideal fit-for-purpose and environmental flooring solution for a wide variety of healthcare, aged care, education, retail, office and commercial installations, both nationally and internationally.
