Security 2012 Exhibition announced the winners of its New Product of the Year Award last night, 25 July 2012.
First prize of Security 2012 Exhibition’s New Product of the Year Award was awarded to Innovative Security Designs’ (ISD’s) 1080P Jaguar, which is part of the company’s digital video recorder (DVR)-free range of Jaguar IP cameras. ISD’s security cameras address the high cost associated with traditional DVR systems with its EDGE technology, effectively cutting out labour and having technology on-board intelligent enough to report on human traffic in real-time without the aid of a technician. AFN Security is the exclusive distributor of the Jaguar series in Australia.
The Guide C.P.N range of gloves, which are exclusively distributed by Performance on Hand in Australia, was recognised as runner up. Using patent pending technology the gloves provide a unique level of protection against cuts, puncture and needles. They are ergonomically designed, providing protection and flexibility while being comfortable to wear.
TruWitness, an industry-first mobile video application that turns Android smartphones into full-featured IP video surveillance cameras that stream video into DVTEL’s Latitude Video Management System, was named second runner up. TruWitness, exclusively distributed by Pacific Communications in Australia, operates over WiFi, 3G/4G and LTE networks, providing operational teams with more mobility than ever before.
The awards criteria included innovation, originality and whether the security industry can genuinely benefit from the product. Ease of integration into the current marketplace as well as likely uptake in the industry were the other factors taken into consideration.
