Harris Security Management
Harris Security Management was established in 1983. Since then the Firm has remained a totally independent security and emergency risk management consultancy servicing clients Australia-wide. Our experience is across all government and business sectors in all types of operational and regulatory environments. We are licensed security consultants and licensed security trainers.
We provide expertise to clients to assist them not only to comply with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulation (and other obligations relating to legislation, standards, codes of practice etc) but to also gain true and sustained benefit from compliance.
Independence means that we do not provide or install security technology and we do not provide security guarding services. We take no financial or other rewards from these providers. This is the only way clients can be assured of proper due diligence and that provided assessments and solutions are truly for the client’s benefit. It is the only way to reasonably ensure that any dodgy offerings by providers, technical constraints and maintenance and financial risks are exposed during the client’s decision making process.
Our emergency risk management focus is on clients that have a genuine commitment to managing their emergency risks. Typically, but not always, their security personnel are integral to their emergency control organization. We strongly oppose the wide-spread, ineffective, one size fits all approach.
Our team have been active in numerous Australian Standards committees including AS3745:2010 & AS/NZS4421:2011.
