700 Bourke Street achieves six-star office design rating
Cbus Property’s 700 Bourke Street project has achieved a six-star Green Star – Office Design v3 rating.
A six-star Green Star – Office Design v3 rating has been awarded to Cbus Property’s 700 Bourke Street project by the Green Building Council of Australia.
With NAB secured as the sole tenant of the 63,000 square metre building, 700 Bourke Street comprises 5000 square metres of superfloors and sustainable features including:
- the largest chilled beam installation to be built in Melbourne
- fritted glass technology
- black water recycling
- a green roof terrace
- 600 bicycle spaces, and
- a fully integrated fitout.
700 Bourke Street’s six-star Green Star rating has been achieved under the latest upgrade (version three) to the rating tool, which recognises industry best practice under the key categories of management, indoor environment quality, energy, transport, water, materials, land use and ecology, emissions and innovation.
Designed by architectural firm Woods Bagot, construction is being undertaken by Brookfield Multiplex and ESD overseen by Norman Disney & Young. 700 Bourke Street is scheduled for completion in mid 2013.
