JLL Canberra: Property Business of the Year
Jones Lang LaSalle’s (JLL) Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) business, Canberra office, has won the Property Council of Australia 2010 ACT, Property Business of the Year Award.
The award, which recognises excellence in business, was awarded to Jones Lang LaSalle after judges recognised the company’s highly successful property service. Also contributing to the team’s success was the impressive client base, significant increase in market share and the opportunity for career growth and training within the company.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s ACT managing director, Andrew Balzanelli, says, “Over the past 18 months, our IFM team headed by Andrew McColl has been the most successful property service provider in Canberra, winning a significant number of major outsourced property management portfolios, which have gone to public tender.”
Property management contracts won over the period have included the retention of Centrelink, the largest commercial government portfolio in Australia; Medicare Australia; Department of Human Services; Department of Immigration and Citizenship; and Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.
“The success of our Integrated Facilities Management in Canberra is a great result for Jones Lang LaSalle and the award represents a lot of hard work and determination by the whole team,” says Balzanelli.
“We have significantly boosted our market share, portfolio of Commonwealth Government clients and grown our employee base. This is a fantastic result for Jones Lang LaSalle and a wonderful recognition of our hard working team,” he said.
Property Council ACT executive director, Catherine Carter, says “Jones Lang LaSalle has shown itself to be a first-rate business, proving its credentials over the last 18 months by becoming a highly successful property service provider in Canberra, winning major outsourced property management portfolios.
“Client retention at contract review can be a major pressure point and places any business at risk. Jones Lang LaSalle has clearly managed that risk by broadening its client base, and meeting and exceeding expectations. This has been achieved with a clear strategy of staff and client focus with the aim of developing trust through transparency and consistent performance.”
Jones Lang LaSalle is continuing to expand its operations throughout Australia with the recent appointments of senior staff in ACT, SA, NSW, VIC and WA.
