Multiplex to construct geometric boutique hotel
Leading global contractor Multiplex has been appointed by M&L Hospitality to construct a boutique hotel at 65 Sussex Street in Sydney’s CBD.
Designed by architects Fitzpatrick + Partners, the mid-scale hotel will boast an eight-level tower with a distinctive geometric facade, 182 guest rooms including four suites, an internal courtyard, meeting space, restaurant and bar.
Mr David Ghannoum, Regional Managing Director NSW at Multiplex, said the company was excited to deliver another hotel to Sydney’s CBD off the back of its redevelopment of 161 Sussex Street, also for M&L Hospitality. “Multiplex has extensive experience delivering high-quality hotels and entertainment facilities, and we are delighted to continue to build upon our relationship with M&L Hospitality,” says Ghannoum.
“We will draw on our experience working on complex projects in constrained live CBD environments, using systems modelled on the 161 Sussex Street redevelopment.”
Construction of 65 Sussex Street will commence immediately and is anticipated to be completed by late 2017.
