Software to manage service delivery at the new Royal Adelaide Hospital
The new Royal Adelaide Hospital is said to be Australia’s largest, most technologically advanced and complex PPP healthcare project. The hospital’s advanced technology solutions, combined with the collaborative design and construction techniques, will set the benchmark for future healthcare facilities, both in Australia and overseas, according to Service Works Global.
Spotless, a key consortium partner in the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia’s largest health public private partnership (PPP), has selected Service Works Global as its facility management software partner for this project. Service Works’ software application, QFM, will be used to manage Spotless’ performance and contract service delivery.
The advanced technology solutions that will be implemented include:
- automated guided vehicles to support the delivery of facility management services such as catering, bulk stores, linen and waste; and
- facility wide real time locating system functionality and electronic tagging of mobile equipment to enable efficient fleet management.
According to Geoff Barnsley, general manager of PPP and government development for Spotless, this software, with its fully integrated payment mechanism solution, will ensure complete auditability and transparency across the contract, meeting the objectives of all the project stakeholders; South Australia Government and SA Health Partnership.
The new Royal Adelaide Hospital, which will provide a 30 percent increase in hospital-wide patient capacity, will be a pioneering patient-centric hospital that will raise the bar for hospitals across the globe, Gary Watkins, group managing director for the Service Works Group of companies, concludes.
